Notes:

The figure represents data from countries that reported mean age of victims in most recent years.

Information based on ‘national definitions’ as presented in Table DRD-1.

The countries are ordered according to overall average age at death. Note that the mean ages of deaths are based on less than 20 deaths for Cyprus, Latvia, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, Portugal, Romania and Slovakia. Greece did not provide information concerning mean age.

For the Czech Republic, EMCDDA Selection D was used instead of the national definition. National definition includes also poisoning by psychoactive medicines, which accounts for most cases (162 cases out of 190).

Data for Portugal is still provisional.
