Together with CEPOL, the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training, the EMCDDA is organising a joint training course on ‘Drug crime and markets – strategic analysis’. The course is targeted at law enforcement (police and customs) managers occupying decision-making positions in the field of drug-related organised crime operations. It is also aimed at prosecutors/judicial officials.
The aim of the activity is to improve the use of markets strategic analyses in decision-making, particularly in the area of drug supply reduction and tackling drug crimes. This should enhance the impact of law enforcement and judicial responses in relation to organised crime and, consequently, the security of EU citizens. The possibility to attend this training is extended to professionals from EU enlargement partners in the framework of the activities of the EMCDDA- IPA 7 project.
