Setting up a national drug information system in Lebanon, Beirut

The setting-up of the future national drug observatory is a joint project between the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health and the Pompidou Group. The EMCDDA also contributes to this project by attending technical meetings and sharing EU methodologies. In March, the first visit of EMCDDA staff to Lebanon was organised in order to meet the project’s core team, dedicated to the creation of the future national drug observatory. A technical meeting with this team from the Ministry of Public Health was an opportunity to share EU best practice and tools, in order to start mapping the drug information system in the country.
