Health and social responses to drug use

Monitoring the health and social responses to drug use is firmly enshrined in the EMCDDA's work. By providing a European overview of the responses by EMCDDA member countries to drug use, it helps countries follow trends and design appropriate strategies. The agency has developed a number of mechanisms to describe the availability and nature of responses as well as a variety of tools to evaluate them.

About the EMCDDA

The European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) is the reference point on drugs and drug addiction information in Europe. Inaugurated in Lisbon in 1995, it is one of the EU's decentralised agencies. Read more >>
