Šā likuma mērķis ir reglamentēt fizisko un juridisko personu darbību farmācijas jomā, kā arī nodrošināt kvalitatīvu, medicīniski piemērotu un atbilstoša profilaktiska, dziedinoša un diagnostiska līmeņa zāļu un farmaceitisko produktu ražošanu un izplatīšanu.

The purpose of this Law is to regulate the activities of natural and legal persons in the field of pharmacy, as well as to ensure the manufacture and distribution of medicinal and pharmaceutical products which are qualitative, medically appropriate and of an appropriate prophylactic, treatment and diagnostic level.
 
 LV Narkotisko un psihotropo vielu un zāļu tranzīta noteikumi
Šie noteikumi nosaka Labklājības ministrijas uzraudzībā esošo narkotisko vielu, psihotropo vielu un prekursoru II un III sarakstā iekļauto narkotisko un psihotropo vielu un zāļu tranzīta noteikumus un bruņotās apsardzes kārtību, lai saskaņā ar ANO 1961.gada 30.marta Vienoto konvenciju par narkotiskajām vielām, 1971.gada 21.februāra Konvenciju par psihotropajām vielām un 1988.gada 20.decembra Konvenciju pret narkotisko un psihotropo vielu nelegālu apgrozījumu novērstu narkotisko un psihotropo vielu un zāļu kontrabandu, to novirzi nelegālajā apritē, kā arī nelikumīgu tranzītu.
EN Regulations on the Transit of Narcotic and Psychotropic Substances and Drugs
These Regulations prescribe regulations for transit and procedures for armed guard of narcotic substances, psychotropic substances and drugs included in Registers II and III of the narcotic substances, psychotropic substances and precursors controlled by the Ministry of Welfare, in order to prevent, in accordance with the 30 March 1961 UN Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs, the 21 February 1971 Convention on Psychotropic Substances, and the 20 December 1988 Convention Against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, smuggling of narcotic and psychotropic substances and drugs, the redirection of such into illegal trade, as well as illegal transit.
 
 LV Par narkotisko un psihotropo vielu un zāļu likumīgās aprites kārtību
Šā likuma mērķis ir noteikt narkotisko un psihotropo vielu un zāļu aprites kārtību un novērst šo vielu un zāļu nokļūšanu nelegālajā apritē, kā arī noteikt atbildību par šā likuma pārkāpumiem.
EN Legal Trade
The purpose of this Law is to prescribe the procedures for the trade of narcotic and psychotropic substances and drugs, and to prevent such substances and drugs entering into illicit trade, as well as to prescribe liability for violations of this Law.

Likums reglamentē fizisko un juridisko personu darbību ar prekursoriem Latvijas Republikā, un tā mērķis ir novērst šo vielu nokļūšanu nelegālā apritē.
EN On Precursors
This Law regulates the activities of natural and legal persons with precursors in the Republic of Latvia, and its purpose is to prevent the entry of such substances into illicit trade.
