Summary
Summary: Substance use is generally associated with young people, but such problems have no age limits. Current evidence in relation to the elderly is limited, making it difficult to estimate the precise extent and implications of this concern. However, forecasts for the coming years are troubling and substance use by older adults is likely to become a neglected problem among our neglected citizens.
