Public expenditure

The research on public expenditure in the field of drugs is trying to find out how much each government spends to tackle their drugs problem. At the moment no unified methodological guidelines exist in the EU concerning the measuring of public expenditure and so the EMCDDA is working on this subject. Several studies have already been undertaken, some commissioned by the EMCDDA (find below related documents).

The EMCDDA and its National focal points network, are working together on the feasibility of creating methodologies of collecting comparable estimates of expenditure for all the EU countries.
