Best practice portal:
Treatment of illicit drug use at individual level

This section summarises evidence about the effect of the most common treatments offered to illicit drug users. The information is organised according to client profile. The definition of client profiles attempts to reflect the ‘real life’ picture according to the European data on illicit drug users collected at the EMCDDA. In practice we know that sometimes people use multiple drugs, and we are working on how best to accommodate this aspect in future. For now, the ‘profiles’ are organised around the main substance of use.

Information on the methodology used and the definition of terms can be found on the methodology page.
