Poland’s new National Programme for Counteracting Drug Addiction 2011–2016 has as general aim to reduce drug use and to be more effective in reducing the related social and health problems. The programme will be implemented in five areas: prevention; treatment, rehabilitation, harm reduction and social reintegration; supply reduction; international cooperation; and research and monitoring. The evaluation of the programme is also foreseen.

About the EMCDDA

The European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) is the reference point on drugs and drug addiction information in Europe. Inaugurated in Lisbon in 1995, it is one of the EU’s decentralised agencies. Read more >>
